It's gameday, Bulldogs! Tonight, we are hosting the Galena bears. Doors open at 5:00 and JV Boys will tip off at 5:30, then both varsity teams will follow.
Just a reminder that our Elementary Christmas Music Program is TONIGHT in the gym!
Please have your child here around 5:00 pm. Students in grades K-5 can be dropped off at the front entrance to the elementary school. They will meet in their classrooms and walk over with their teachers at 5:15 pm. Students in Preschool please plan to meet in the music room (near the gym) at 5:00 pm. Preschool students will perform the preshow from 5:20-5:30 and grades K-5 will perform beginning at 5:30 pm. We hope to see you all there!
The Elementary Music program will take place Monday December 9 at 5:30 pm. This is for students Kindergarten-5th grade. Preschool students will perform from 5:20-5:30 pm. Please drop your child off at the front entrance to the elementary school between 5:00-5:15 pm and then head to the gym for the performance. Students will enter the concert with their class.
AMI (Alternate Method of Instruction) packets have been sent home with all elementary students! Please keep these in a safe place for any snowy AMI days that may arise this Winter. If you have any questions regarding these, please reach out to your child's teacher.

The Elementary School's 12 days of Christmas begin tomorrow!
The Wheaton R-III School District earned 83.8% of points possible on the 2024 Annual Performance Report, which is ultimately used to determine a district's accreditation status. This score puts us in the top 30% of school districts and charter schools in the state. Thank you to our dedicated staff and community who drove this huge improvement in student growth!

Students in Mr. Casady's 6th grade science class, worked in groups to create a simple machine. Their goal was to create a design using levers and pulleys, that would leverage their mechanical advantage to lift or move a 10lb bucket, with minimal applied force, by strategically positioning the fulcrum (in levers) and the pulley wheels to redirect and amplify the force needed for the task.
Wheaton Elementary 2nd Grade has had a great week of learning about Thanksgiving traditions and discussing all the things that we are thankful for. Wednesday we all joined together to have our annual Friendsgiving Feast. During the feast, each students also made a thankful card for one of the teachers to express their gratitude.
Thank you to all the 2nd grade families for providing a wide variety of yummy snack for the students to enjoy during Friendsgiving Feast.

Mrs. Mattingly's Kindergarten participated in an ABC pen pal exchange! Wheaton Kindergarteners made the letter Z, and mailed them across the United States. In return, we received letters of the alphabet from the East Coast to the West Coast and every where in between! It was a great learning experience to track the letters on the map!
