Mrs. Mattingly's Kindergarten has been learning about Arctic animals!
They played the polar bear plunge, how many polar bears does it take to break through the glacier! They explored how penguins, polar bears, and seals kept warm when they dive into the frozen waters! They have a layer called blubber! The students submerged their bare hands in ice cold water, then we made a blubber layer around their hand and dipped it back in! Amazing how the layer kept our hands warmer! We also carried penguin eggs on our feet just like penguin parents.

Thank you, Mrs. Casas, for everything you do to support our students!
