Todays HS Baseball game at home has been moved to Galena starting at 5:00.
WES hosted our Title I Math Night on Tuesday evening. Families were welcomed in for food and number-based activities. Thanks to Scholastic for providing books to every child in attendance!
Tonight's elementary basketball game in Purdy will start later than expected due to transportation issues. Players will leave the school at 4:15.
Congratulations to Sarah Chin for competing in the Joplin Globe Regional Spelling Bee this morning. Great job representing WSD, Sarah!
Today Miss Davis class finished up our Dr. Seuss Unit with an all time favorite book, "Green Eggs and Ham." Then we made our own predictions on if we would like green eggs and ham. After making it and taste-testing, only one student was still not a fan of green eggs and ham. Enjoy some of the highlights!!!
Baseball and Softball Jamborees for today have been cancelled and rescheduled for 3/11/24 @ Southwest High School.
Our Kindergarten through 6th grade student learned all about good oral hygiene thanks to a wonderful performance called "Land of Smiles" performed by The National Theatre for Children. This performance was generously provided by Delta Dental of Missouri.
Make plans to join us Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm for our Title I Math night. Check in at the elementary office. See attachment for more details!

2nd Grade had a fun time participating in "Glow in the Dark" Reading today during our D.E.A.R time!
Kindergarten a hopping good time on Leap Day today! They took part in an elementary school wide frog hunt and enjoyed fun activities too! Kindergarteners wrote about how old they would be in four years and drew what they would look like, and had a leaping contest to see if they could out leap a frog or a Kangaroo!
Due to impending weather conditions, the "Reading Under the Lights" event for tomorrow (3/7) evening will be cancelled. We encourage families to continue reading with their students at home as we wrap up Reading Week!
WES students celebrated Reading Week by taking a trip to the park. Students enjoyed reading outdoors and discussing their stories with Bulldogs from other classes!
Wheaton School District will be conducting emergency drills on campus this morning. Emergency responders will be on campus. This will be a drill.
