Thank you for the appetizing meals! A huge shout-out to all of the wonderful people who helped plan, prepare, and transport the food for teachers and staff while we work on getting ready for the start of school. Everything was delicious and greatly appreciated!

Wheaton receives portion of USDA grant to boost school nutrition.
We, along with OPAA applied for this grant and were awarded $46,509.00. This will purchase a new walk-in freezer and other items yet to be determined.

Come see us Thursday night from 5-7 pm for back-to-school open house! Reminder: students in PK, K, 8 & 12th grade will need updated immunization records to be cleared by our district nurse before attending classes. New for this year: Tanya Hutson will be offering free haircuts, tours will be available of our new safe room/cafeteria and fieldhouse, and our FBLA chapter will be having a fundraiser offering a hot dog or hamburger meal in the courtyard!

It takes about two weeks to ease kids back into their school sleep routine by slowly moving bedtime back 15 minutes each night. Getting adequate amounts of sleep each evening helps us all be our best. #Goodnight Wheaton!

MAP and EOC exam results have been received. Scores for elementary students will be available at open house on 8/17. Scores for junior high and high school students will be delivered by their teachers during the first week of school.
Junior High and High School schedules will be available to pick up from the high school office on August 9th. Schedules will also be available for pick up during Open House on August 17th from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Yesterday afternoon we held a reception for Gary Bertalotto! Gary is retiring from his maintenance /transportation position after 20 years of service to the Wheaton R-III School District. Gary thank you for the countless hours you have devoted to our school district. We hope you enjoy your farm, family and grandkids now!
What a great crew of FFA students and athletes we had this morning! These young people showed up at 8:30am, with brooms in hand, to help sweep out the new fieldhouse! We appreciate all their hard work this morning! What great students we have at Wheaton!

Good evening summer school parents! We were notified this evening that the Monett pool can not accommodate us tomorrow. We are switching field trips and going to the zoo tomorrow. The bus will leave at 8:15am. Please put sunscreen on your child before they arrive and send a water bottle with them. Make sure they wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We look forward to a great day!
